18-year-old from Lafayette arrested by AG Murrill's Office for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials

Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) agents arrested an 18-year-old from Lafayette on September 16, 2025.

Christian David Mobley, of Ridgeview Drive in Lafayette, was arrested for:

  • 3 Counts - LA R.S 14:81.1E(5)(a) Child Sexual Abuse Materials under the age 13 (felony)

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which started their investigation.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with General Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations 

Mobley was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

His bond has reportedly been set at $25,000.

The investigation continues.
