AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrests Lafayette teen for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials

Agents with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a 19-year-old from Lafayette for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials Under the Age of 13.

Joshua C. Mire, of Vital Street in Lafayette, was arrested on December 10, for violating:

  • 8 Count(s) of 14:81.1 E(5)(a) -- Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13 -- (Felony)

The investigation was kickstarted by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The arrest was a result of a joint operation between AG Murrill's LBI and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office.

Mire was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

His bond was reportedly set at $200,000.
