AG Murrill's LBI arrests registered sex offender for Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13 and Sexual Abuse of an Animal

Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a registered sex offender from Lake Charles on numerous charges.

49-year-old Sean Alexander Meeks, of Libby Street in Lake Charles, was arrested on February 4, for violating:

  • 15 Counts of 14:81.1 E(5)(a) - Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13 - Distribution) (Felony)
  • 5 Counts of 14:89.3 - Sexual Abuse of an Animal (Felony)

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Sean Meeks is currently incarcerated in the Calcasieu Parish Jail.

His bond has reportedly been set at $350,000.
