Simoneaux was arrested at the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office and booked into the St. James Parish Jail.

“I’d like to thank Sheriff Claude J. Louis Jr. for his swift assistance in this joint investigation. Last night’s arrest is not a reflection of the hardworking men and women of law enforcement, but a testament to the fact that no matter who you are, if you are involved in child sexual abuse material, you will face the full force of Louisiana justice," said Attorney General Liz Murrill.

“The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office holds its employees to the highest standards of conduct, both on and off duty. The actions of Tykeim Simoneaux do not define the others who wear the uniform. Simoneaux began his employment with the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office on November 3, 2025. His employment was terminated today. I thank the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General and the ICAC Task Force for allowing us to assist in this investigation. Protecting our children is a priority of the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office, and no one is above the law," said Sheriff Claude J. Louis Jr.

Simoneaux was officially terminated at 7:24 pm Wednesday according to Sheriff Louis.

His bond information is unknown at this time.

Our investigation is ongoing.
