Joint operation leads to multiple arrests for online child exploitation in Northwest Louisiana 

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill is pleased to announce the arrest of three men for online child exploitation as part of a joint operation with multiple law enforcement partners across Northwest Louisiana.

This operation was hosted by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office to identify and arrest those seeking children on online platforms for the purpose of sexual intercourse. The individuals arrested were on social media platforms communicating with juveniles, when they were identified by law enforcement and later arrested.

The agencies involved were AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office, the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office, the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office, and the Shreveport Police Department.

Those arrested include:

35-year-old Edwin Roberts II, of Hwy 6 East in Natchitoches for:

  • LA R.S. 14.81 - Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile - 1 count 
  • LA R.S. 14.81.3 - Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor - 1 count

24-year-old Garrett Godejohn, of Hwy 6 East in Natchitoches for:

  • LA R.S. 14.81.1 – Possession of CSAM - 1 count
  • LA R.S. 14.89.3 – Sexual Abuse of an Animal - 1 count

35-year-old David Lee Clark, of Peyton Street in Shreveport for:

  • LA R.S. 14.81 - Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile - 1 count
  • LA R.S. 14.81.3 - Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor - 1 count

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office made the arrests of Roberts and Godejohn, who lived together. Both were booked at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center. Their bond is unknown at this time.

The Shreveport Police Department made the arrest of Clark. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail. His bond is also unknown at this time.

“We will continue conducting proactive operations with our partners on the Louisiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to arrest individuals intent on sexually exploiting our children. I want to thank the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Shreveport Police Department for their assistance and hard work on this effort," said Attorney General Liz Murrill. 

Additional charges are anticipated.
