A man previously arrested by Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents back in January of 2026 for 504 counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material is now facing three additional counts of First-Degree Rape following the ongoing investigation.
35-year-old Daniel Ray McCloy, of Jack Crowell Road in Eros, is now facing more charges of:
- LA RS14:42 First-Degree Rape (3 counts)
Two of those counts stem from an investigation conducted by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI), the additional count was charged by Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.
McCloy was already in custody at the Ouachita Parish Jail for his previous arrest mentioned which stemmed from the initial investigation launched by LBI. The initial investigation began from a CyberTip provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
This arrest was the result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana Probation & Parole, the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the West Monroe Police Department.
“This is why I support the death penalty for child rapists. My prayers are with the victims in this case. I want to thank our law enforcement partners who assisted our office in making an arrest in this disturbing case,” said Attorney General Liz Murrill.
His new bond amount is unknown at this time.
