AG Murrill's Fugitive Apprehension Unit captures second degree murder suspect who was on the run since September of 2024
Attorney General Liz Murrill's Fugitive Apprehension Unit captured a suspect charged with attempted second degree murder after he had been on the run since September of 2024.
Following his convictions in Tangipahoa Parish on various drug charges, Adreon White was being housed by the Department of Corrections in a Madison Parish detention facility.
White has been a fugitive from justice since September 9, 2024, following a missed court appearance for the charge he's facing. Based upon the subsequent death of an incapacitated victim, a superseding indictment was returned charging the defendant with second degree murder. The defendant remained at large following the superseding indictment.
At that point, AG Murrill's Fugitive Apprehension Unit began the arduous task of locating Adreon White pursuant to an outstanding arrest warrant. For many months, this team worked tirelessly to secure the defendant’s presence, which included working with various law enforcement agencies in Louisiana and Texas. The culmination of the team’s relentless efforts led to the apprehension of the defendant on Tuesday, March 24 in Tangipahoa Parish.
The LADOJ Fugitive Apprehension Unit, the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Apprehension Team, the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Attorney General's Fugitive Apprehension Unit, were able to secure this dangerous fugitive without incident and book him into the local detention center.
Supervisory Special Agent Jason Nuccio, who is head of the LADOJ Fugitive Apprehension Unit, and his team, as well as its law enforcement partners, are invaluable assets to our community’s efforts to combat crime, ensure public safety, and bring justice to our victims.
"Great work by Agent Nuccio and our Fugitive Apprehension Unit, the State Police’s Fugitive Apprehension Team, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Attorney General's Fugitive Apprehension Unit, for finally capturing this dangerous individual, who will now face Louisiana justice," said Attorney General Liz Murrill.
White was brought from Tangipahoa Parish to be booked by the Madison Parish Sheriff's Office.
He is set to be arraigned in Madison Parish on May 5.

*All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty
