Registered sex offender from Shreveport arrested by Louisiana Bureau of Investigation for Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and Computer-Aided Solicitation of a minor
Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents recently arrested a registered sex offender from Shreveport for sending multiple sexually explicit messages to a juvenile using an online chat application and also agreeing to meet the juvenile in person.
70-year-old Royce Eugene Adams, of Land O Trees Street in Shreveport, was arrested on April 8, for violating:
- 1 count of RS14:81 INDECENT BEHAVIOR WITH JUVENILE
- 1 count of RS14:81.3 COMPUTER-AIDED SOLICITATION OF A MINOR
LBI agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited which kickstarted our investigation.
Adams is currently a registered sex offender.
This arrest was the result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Shreveport Police Department, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Marshals Task Force.
Adams was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center, and his bond was reportedly set at $100,000.00
The investigation continues.
