A registered sex offender from Marrero was arrested by Attorney General Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents for Child Sexual Abuse Material Under the Age of 13.

The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children stating a Google user uploaded multiple pictures of CSAM.

Through investigative means, it was determined that 42-year-old Brandon Amonds, of Garden Road in Marrero, was the owner of the account. It was also discovered that Brandon Amonds is currently a registered sex offender. LBI Agents located and arrested Amonds at his residence.  

He's being charged with:

• 3 Counts of L.A.R.S. 14:81.1E(5)(a) – Child Sexual Abuse Material under the age of thirteen 

This arrest is the result of the Orleans Metro ICAC Task Force. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. Charles Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and Kenner Police Department assisted with this arrest.
