A man from Duson was arrested by Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation recently.

Brandon James Watson, of Broland Drive in Duson, was arrested on May 13, 2026, for:

• 1 count - LA R.S 14:81.1E(5)(a), child sexual abuse materials under the age of 13 (felony)

LBI agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Brandon Watson was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

His bond has been set at $10,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
