AG Murrill’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit arrests Marrero woman for billing Medicaid while working another job
Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit arrested a Marrero woman after agents determined she billed Medicaid for services she did not provide while working another job during the same hours.
Nedria Paul, of Mount Whitney Drive in Marrero, was arrested on May 18, 2026, by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit for:
- La. R.S. 14:70.1 – Medicaid Fraud (1 count)
Between January 4, 2023, and September 15, 2025, Paul submitted fraudulent time entries to a Medicaid provider. Paul submitted documentation claiming she was providing Medicaid services while simultaneously working another job.
MFCU Special Agents opened the investigation on November 25, 2025, after allegations that Paul, a direct service worker with Reliable PCA & SIL Agency, LLC, was not present with the Medicaid recipient during shifts she claimed to be working. Records and supporting evidence allegedly showed Paul leaving the recipient’s home while still clocked in.
According to MFCU Special Agents, employment records confirmed Paul was simultaneously working another job during many of the same hours she billed Medicaid. During an interview, Paul admitted she clocked in for Medicaid services, left the recipient, and worked her second job while remaining on the clock.
Paul was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Her bond information is unknown at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
